Hyde Park is a happening cultural and intellectual center with one of Chicago’s biggest tourist attractions (the Museum of Science and Industry) and one of its most reputable colleges (the University of Chicago). Architecturally, Hyde Park is a microcosm of Chicago with modern buildings next to century-old homes – there’s even a Frank Lloyd Wright house here. And for Hyde Park’s tribute to Cajun cooking and Southern-style specialties, you can’t pass up a meal at Dixie Kitchen.
